Our Story

Work lights on agricultural, construction, and industrial equipment take constant abuse — vibration, wash-downs, dust, and temperature swings from sub-zero winters to engine heat. Consumer-grade LEDs fail within months in these conditions. For OEMs and aftermarket distributors, a light that dies in the field means warranty claims and lost trust with your own customers.

Tough Lighting has built rugged LED work lights since 2014 from our manufacturing facility in Foshan, China. We supply OEM manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers worldwide with lights rated to IP67, IP68, and IP69K, 9–32V multi-volt input, and potted drivers that absorb continuous machine vibration.

Built in-house, start to finish

Reliability starts on our own production floor. LED boards are mounted on our in-house SMT line and verified by automated optical inspection; drivers are potted and every housing is sealed in-house. The steps that decide whether a light survives its first year are never outsourced.

Tested before it ships

Every design is verified in our on-site test lab before mass production:

  • Water immersion and high-pressure spray
  • Thermal-shock cycling
  • Vibration and salt spray
  • UV weathering
  • Radiated emissions in our own EMC chamber
  • Photometry in an integrating sphere and darkroom

So the lumen and beam figures on our spec sheets are measured values, not copied ones. And before shipment, every single light is powered on for a burn-in test on alternating 12V and 24V input — that is what our 100% outgoing inspection and 5-year warranty stand on.

Our quality system is ISO 9001 certified, and our products carry CE, E-Mark (ECE R10 / R112), DOT, and EMC (CISPR 25 Class 4) certifications — the compliance documentation your market and your buyers require before they place an order.

One range, built to your specification

From compact 10W floods to 290W heavy-duty arrays, our range spans LED work lights, tractor lights, forklift safety lights, sprayer boom lights, and heated lights for snow equipment. Custom voltage, brackets, beam angles, and private-label branding are available for OEM and ODM programs.

Tell us your equipment and target market, and our engineering team will recommend the right specification — with pricing, lead time, and certification documents for your wholesale order.

A Word from Our Co-founder

I have worked in the vehicle lighting industry since 2014, and one lesson has never changed: the buyers who fit our lights to their equipment are putting their own reputation on the line. That is why we operate our own manufacturing facility in Foshan, power up and inspect every unit before shipment, and stand behind our products with a five-year warranty. When you send us an inquiry, our team responds within one business day — and we commit only to lead times we are confident we can meet. That is how I want this company to do business: reliably, transparently, and consistently — on every order, in every market.

How We Do Business

Three commitments we make on every order — not slogans on a wall, but the way we have run this factory for years.

Tested before it ships

Every unit is powered on and inspected before it leaves our factory. We would rather ship a day late than ship an untested product.

A warranty we honor

Five years, in writing. If a product fails from a manufacturing defect, we replace it — no drawn-out arguments.

Answers within one business day

Every inquiry gets a reply from our team within one business day — and we commit only to lead times we are confident we can meet.

How Your Lights Are Built

Nine stages from raw aluminium to the container — each with its own inspection gate. This is the process behind the consistency our OEM customers rely on.

Quality is checked at every stage — and 100% of units pass a final inspection before shipping. Not a sample. Every light.

    Die-Cast Aluminium Housing

Housings are die-cast, then checked for dimensional accuracy and surface quality before entering the line.

  2. 2

    Injection-Moulded Lens & Bezel

Polycarbonate lenses and bezels are injection-moulded and checked for optical clarity and fit.

  3. 3

    PCB Assembly & Inspection

LED boards are surface-mounted (SMT) and every board is inspected before it moves on to assembly.

  4. 4

    Assembly & Silicone Sealing

Housing, board, and lens are assembled and sealed with silicone to lock out water and dust.

  5. 5

    Waterproof Testing

Sealed units are water-tested to verify the IP67–IP69K rating stated on the datasheet.

  6. 6

    Aging Test

Lights run an extended power-on aging test to catch early-life failures before they reach you.

  7. 7

    Packaging

Units are packed to your spec — retail boxes, bulk cartons, or private-label packaging.

  8. 8

    Final 100% Inspection

Every single unit — not a sample — is lit and inspected before release for shipment.

  9. 9

    Shipping

Orders ship with full documentation, by sea, air, or courier to match your schedule.
