Common Applications

Construction sites start before dawn and finish long after dark, and the machines doing the work live in dust, impact, and constant vibration. This section brings together the construction work lights we manufacture: high-output LED flood units and direct-fit headlight replacements for excavators, loaders, dozers, cranes, and skid steers. Rather than one long list, the range is organised by machine type, so you can go straight to the right sub-range — and for how contractors light entire construction and earthmoving operations, start with our application overview.

How to choose construction machine lights

Across every sub-range, three factors decide the specification:

  • Coverage — Excavator work lights and dozer floods need wide coverage around boom, bucket, and tracks; several well-aimed medium units usually beat one oversized lamp.
  • Build quality — Continuous vibration cracks cheap housings and solder joints, so judge lights by potted drivers and stainless steel brackets rather than headline lumen claims.
  • Electrical system — All our lights accept 9–32V DC, covering 12V and 24V machines with one part number, with CISPR 25 EMC suppression so nothing interferes with cab electronics.

Find the right lights by machine type

Our construction product line is organised into three focused sub-ranges:

  • Excavators, dozers, and haul machines — Heavy duty work lights run from 12W to 580W with IP69K sealing, sized for machines that work double shifts and get wash-down cleaned.
  • Skid steer loaders — LED skid steer lights are headlight and work light replacements for Bobcat, Case, John Deere, New Holland, and Kubota loaders.
  • Bobcat machines — Bobcat replacement lights are drop-in headlight units for Bobcat models including the M Series, reusing the original mounting points and connectors.

Built for dust, impact, and long shifts

Site lighting fails in predictable ways: dust scours lenses, vibration fractures filaments and solder, and wash-down water forces its way past tired gaskets. Every light behind these sub-ranges counters all three with sealed IP67–IP69K housings, solid-state LEDs with nothing to shake loose, potted electronics that damp vibration, and aluminium bodies with stainless steel brackets that survive years of wash bays and weather.

OEM and wholesale ordering

We manufacture construction work lights for OEM brands, equipment dealers, and aftermarket distributors worldwide. Standard MOQ is 60 pieces per model with 15–25 working day production lead times, and we recommend starting with 1–5 samples to prove fitment and output on your own machines. Private-label branding and certification documents (CE, E-Mark, DOT) are available on request — tell us which machine types your customers run and we will put together a range proposal across the sub-categories above.

Beyond the catalogue, we also develop lights from scratch to customer requirements — from design and 3D-printed prototypes to production tooling, with exclusive supply protection. Learn more about our custom LED light development service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which work light positions matter most on an excavator?

Three positions do most of the work: boom-mounted lights that follow the bucket, front frame floods over the tracks, and a rear or counterweight lamp covering the swing radius. Our heavy duty work lights range runs 12W to 580W, so each position gets a correctly sized unit.

Can construction work lights handle daily pressure washing?

Yes — housings across this range are sealed to IP67–IP69K, and IP69K specifically certifies survival under the hot, close-range high-pressure jets used in plant wash bays. Our IP ratings guide breaks down what each rating actually tests.

Why do LED work lights outlast halogen on dozers and compactors?

Halogen bulbs die on tracked and drum machines because vibration snaps the filament; an LED is a solid-state chip with its electronics encapsulated in resin, so there is simply nothing for the machine to shake apart. Our potted driver guide shows how the encapsulation is built.

How should we plan lighting for a night shift construction site?

Plan by zone rather than by total wattage: give each machine flood beams over its attachment and blind spots, mount wide floods high on frames to cover walkways and loading areas, and keep spot optics for haul roads where reach matters. Our beam patterns guide shows which optic suits each zone.

Why do equipment rental companies switch to LED work lights?

Because every lamp a renter breaks comes back as the rental company's downtime: solid-state LED units shrug off the rough handling that kills halogen bulbs, and the 9–32V input lets one stocked part number serve both 12V and 24V machines across the whole rental park. Our multi-volt input guide explains how one SKU covers a mixed fleet.

Do construction work lights need CE marking in Europe?

Yes — CE marking is required to place work lights on the EU market, and site owners and safety auditors increasingly ask to see it during plant inspections. We supply CE documentation with orders, plus E-Mark versions for lamps that also operate on public roads. See our vehicle lighting certifications guide for which mark each market asks for.
