The Red Zone forklift warning light projects a sharp red line on the floor alongside the lift truck, marking the keep-clear boundary where pedestrians risk being caught by rear-end swing. A beacon does one job: make a slow, heavy or stationary machine visible to everything moving around it, in daylight and at 360°. This range covers the amber LED beacons, strobe warning lights and flashing extremity lamps we build for forklifts, tractors, construction and mining equipment and municipal trucks, alongside the floor-projection lights that warn pedestrians at close range. Every unit runs on 9–32V DC as standard, with 10-48V, 10-60V and 10-110V DC versions for electric forklifts.
Choose by vehicle, not by catalogue
The right warning light depends on who has to see the machine and from where. Four cases cover most fleets.
- Forklifts and warehouse trucks: an amber strobe beacon on the overhead guard for yard and dock work, plus blue spot and red zone projection lights for pedestrians inside the building, where a beacon on the roof is invisible to someone at rack level. Electric trucks need the 10-48V, 10-60V or 10-110V DC version.
- Tractors, sprayers and combines: amber flashing lamps on the fender, cab and rear extremity arms so that road users see the full width of a wide implement at night. Our fender and cab-mount warning lights and John Deere rear extremity lights are plug-in replacements with OEM part number cross-references.
- Construction, mining and quarry equipment: a beacon on the cab roof or counterweight that survives vibration, dust and pressure washing, sealed to IP69K. Many sites specify a flash rate and a light class in the tender; tell us which and we will match it.
- Municipal, refuse and utility trucks: amber beacons for road-side work, often paired with rear work lights and side markers from our truck and trailer range. Fleets that plough in winter add heated headlights on the same trucks.
Beacon, strobe or floor projection: what each one is for
A rotating or flashing beacon tells other vehicles that a machine is present and working. Its value is 360° visibility at distance, in daylight, which is why it sits as high on the machine as possible.
A strobe or flashing warning lamp on a fender, cab corner or extremity arm marks the outline of the vehicle. It is the right choice when the hazard is the width of the machine rather than its presence.
A floor-projected spot or line warns a pedestrian within a few metres, on the floor where they are looking. It replaces nothing above; it covers the case a roof beacon cannot. How the two work together on a lift truck is set out in our forklift blue light vs red zone guide.
What the specification should say
- Flash pattern and rate: our beacons flash at 80 times per minute with an internal controller, no external ballast; single-tap or double-tap patterns.
- Voltage: 9–32V DC covers 12V and 24V machines with one part number; specify 10-48V, 10-60V or 10-110V DC for 24V to 80V electric forklifts.
- Sealing and materials: IP69K on the beacons, polycarbonate lens on an ABS base; IP67 metal housings with stainless steel hardware on the fender and cab lamps.
- Mounting: 3-bolt base, magnetic base or bracket; installation hardware included. Fender, cab and extremity lamps ship with the brackets and bolt options the OEM position needs.
- Options: orange lens, magnet base and warning buzzer on the beacons; green or blue optics on the projection lights for sites that colour-code zones.

What we test before a warning light ships
A flashing lamp is the hardest electrical load on a small vehicle to keep quiet. Every design is measured in our EMC chamber against CISPR 25 so beacons do not put noise into two-way radios and telematics, then cycled on the vibration table and through thermal shock and salt spray before the housing and potting are approved.

We supply warning lights to forklift dealers, agricultural OEMs and municipal fleets from 60 pieces per model with 15–25 working day lead times, and 1–5 samples first so you can run them on your own machines. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a beacon light and a strobe light?
A beacon gives 360° visibility from the top of the machine so other vehicles see it at distance. A strobe or flashing warning lamp is mounted on a fender, cab corner or extremity arm to mark the vehicle's outline. Most working machines carry one beacon and, on wide equipment, several outline lamps.
Which beacon fits an electric forklift running 48V or 80V?
Order the 10-48V, 10-60V or 10-110V DC version of the beacon. The standard 9–32V DC unit covers 12V and 24V machines only; wiring it to a 48V or 80V traction battery damages it at switch-on.
Are amber beacons required on forklifts or tractors?
No US federal rule requires them on either. OSHA 1910.178 requires a warning at blind intersections and, when a warning light is fitted, that it is used in reverse; road rules for wide agricultural machines are set by each state. Most fleets fit them because a beacon is the cheapest way to meet the intent of those rules in yards and on roads.

Can you match a specified light class or flash rate?
Yes. Tell us the class, colour and flash rate written in your tender or OEM specification and we will confirm the model that meets it; documentation for your market is available on request.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Standard MOQ is 60 pieces per model, mixable across colours and voltages, with 15–25 working day lead times. Samples of 1–5 units ship first for on-machine trials.
Can you produce these lights under our own brand?
Yes. OEM/ODM programs start at 60 pcs per model: logo engraving on the housing, custom packaging, custom cable lengths and connectors, and your part numbers on labels and documents.
