CISPR 25 (EMC for Vehicle Electronics)
CISPR 25 is the international standard limiting electromagnetic interference (EMI) from electrical devices installed on vehicles. Emissions are graded from Class 1 to Class 5, with Class 5 the most stringent; the class is specified by the vehicle maker based on where the device is mounted. Tough Lighting lamps are built to Class 4 as standard, with Class 5 available on request.
Every switching LED driver emits some electrical noise. On a modern machine with GPS auto-steering, ISOBUS, two-way radios and telematics, an unsuppressed lamp can inject static into all of them. CISPR 25 defines how much conducted and radiated emission is acceptable, graded in classes 1–5 (higher is quieter).
Why it matters on machinery
Fleet complaints about “GPS drops out when the work lights are on” trace back to non-compliant drivers.
How to specify
Ask for the CISPR 25 class in writing, alongside ECE R10 e-marking (the EU regulatory implementation of vehicle EMC). ECE regulations (shown by an E-Mark) govern vehicle lighting in Europe and most of the world; DOT/FMVSS 108 and SAE standards govern the United States. The right certification depends on the destination market and whether the lamp is road-facing.

It governs interference, not light output: an R10 E-mark says nothing about a lamp's beam pattern or whether it is road-legal.
