PAR 36 is the classic 4.5-inch sealed-beam format that lit generations of utility tractors, and this focused range of 4 LED units we manufacture keeps those machines working: an 18W PAR 36 tractor light, a 2200-lumen hi/lo cab, fender, and hood lamp fitting Allis-Chalmers, Case, Caterpillar, Ford, IH, John Deere, and Massey Ferguson mounting points, a John Deere 4.5-inch flood fender light, and a white/red rear tail light for John Deere Generation and 3050 Series tractors. Each one drops into the original PAR 36 opening on the machines that still anchor agricultural operations worldwide.
How to choose the right PAR 36 light
Because the PAR 36 sealed beam shell is standardised, choosing comes down to three checks:
- Position and beam job — Hood and cab locations want the hi/lo beam unit for road and field work, fender locations want the flood unit for watching the implement, and the rear of the tractor takes the white/red tail lamp for reversing light and road presence in one housing.
- Fitment on your brand — The 18W PAR 36 unit is a straight swap for the original sealed beam, while the multi-brand hi/lo lamp covers AC, Case, Cat, Ford, IH, John Deere, and MF mounting points with one part number.
- Electrical system — Every unit accepts 9–32V DC with potted drivers, so the same lamp serves older 12V tractors and 24V machinery without a converter.
Why LED PAR 36 matters for the restoration market
An LED unit is now the direct replacement for the original incandescent sealed beam — the glass lamp was a consumable: when the filament died or the seal leaked, the whole unit was scrap, and stocks of originals are thinning every year. An LED PAR 36 keeps the period-correct round face and the standard shell dimensions, but replaces the fragile filament and vented reflector with sealed solid-state optics that never lose their vacuum because they never needed one. For restorers and dealers serving classic tractors from John Deere and Ford, that means the lighting is solved for the life of the machine. For positions beyond the PAR 36 format, our full LED tractor light range and dedicated John Deere equipment lights cover hood, cab, fender, and rear mounting locations across the major brands.
Built for machines that refuse to retire
A forty-year-old tractor still gets pressure-washed, still shakes, and still sits out in the weather. Every PAR 36 unit here uses a sealed IP67–IP69K housing, solid-state LEDs with no filament to fail on rough ground, potted electronics that absorb engine vibration, and stainless steel hardware that resists corrosion where original fittings rusted through.
OEM and wholesale ordering
We supply LED PAR 36 lights to tractor-parts distributors, restoration specialists, and OEM brands worldwide. Standard MOQ is 60 pieces per model with 15–25 day production lead times; sample orders of 1–5 units let you confirm fitment on the machines your customers actually bring in. This range is small because the format is specific — and we treat it as a base: if the vintage-tractor market you serve needs a PAR 36 variant we do not list, tell us the machine and position and our engineers will scope it as an OEM project, with private-label branding and CE / E-Mark documentation available.
Beyond the catalogue, we also develop lights from scratch to customer requirements — from design and 3D-printed prototypes to production tooling, with exclusive supply protection. Learn more about our custom LED light development service.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do these fit standard PAR 36 housings?
They use the standard PAR 36 sealed-beam mounting and fit common tractor housings; confirm your bulb size with us.
Is rewiring needed for installation?
No — these are designed as a direct drop-in for the original sealed-beam connection.
Are they suitable for older tractors?
Yes, PAR 36 LED replacements are a popular upgrade for vintage and current tractors alike.
What are the physical dimensions of a PAR 36 lamp?
PAR 36 is the standardised 4.5-inch (roughly 114 mm) round sealed-beam format. Because the shell dimensions are fixed by the standard, our LED units drop straight into the original opening on any machine that used a PAR 36 lamp — no cutting, spacers, or adapter rings.
Are LED PAR 36 lamps brighter than the original incandescent units?
Yes — the hi/lo unit in this range delivers 2200 lumens from the same 4.5-inch face, noticeably more usable light than an aged incandescent sealed beam while drawing less power from the charging system. Order 1–5 samples and compare them on your own machines first.
Will these work on an old 12-volt tractor with a weak charging system?
Yes — every unit accepts 9–32V DC, so the sagging output of an older 12V generator stays comfortably inside the input window, and the potted driver smooths spikes from an ageing regulator. Only 6V systems fall below the range and would need conversion first. See our multi-volt guide for details.
